This blog is a space for conversation about any of the themes in Stone of Help: Ebenezer – the First Fifty Years.

It’s a space to encourage each other for those who grew up in churches like Ebenezer in Harlem, and who are concerned about the urban communities where churches seem to have declining influence on the lives of young people.

It’s a space to reflect on the courage and commitment of the founders, and to draw on that for inspiration as we try to leave our mark on future generations.

It’s a space to document information that may not be in the book, or not fully explored there, but that expands our understanding of the history and contributions of the immigrants and migrants to Harlem in the early 1900s

If you have a relative, ancestor, or mentor whom you would like to honor, write about him or her here.  We need to know as much as possible about the people on whose shoulders we stand.
